Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brain Ramirez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 16 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kurt Kendall!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Anthony Taglia and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ramirez is defended easily by Kendall.
Kendall waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Ramirez.
Ramirez will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Ramirez fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brain Ramirez. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kendall slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Kendall feints and then cracks Ramirez's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Ramirez down.
Ramirez looks for a takedown but Kendall sprawls well.
Kendall connects with a jab.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kendall buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Kendall ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Nice straight punches there by Kendall. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Kendall.
Ramirez doesn't manage to clinch there - Kendall circles away.
Ramirez fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Nice takedown defense from Kendall. No joy for Ramirez on that attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kendall punishes Ramirez's body with a nice straight punch.
Ramirez shoots and misses
and Kendall counters with a big head kick but Ramirez shrugs it off.
Kendall uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Ramirez has time to react.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ramirez shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Ramirez tries for a takedown but Kendall circles away easily
and Kendall counters with a series of strikes. Ramirez will be more careful next time no doubt.
Ramirez is breathing heavily.

and Kendall counters with a nice body shot.
Kendall lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Kendall rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ramirez moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Kendall lands a slapping body shot.
Kendall scores with a nice head shot.
Ramirez takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Kendall scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Kurt Kendall is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Kendall lands a leg kick that knocks Ramirez off balance momentarily.
Ramirez walks into a straight right hand from Kendall.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A chopping leg kick lands by Kendall.
Kendall turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kendall throws a right and a left that Ramirez avoids nicely.
Nice uppercut lands for Kendall. That snapped Ramirez's head back.
Ramirez could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Nice uppercut there from Kendall.
Ramirez has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Kendall finds it's way round the side to connect with Ramirez's head.
Ramirez takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Kendall digs a good hook to Ramirez's body.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Kendall connects with an inside leg kick.
Kendall looks to land a combination but Ramirez avoids it well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kurt Kendall dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Kendall thuds a left hand into Ramirez's body.
Kendall with a jab.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Ramirez. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
A slapping leg kick lands for Kendall.
Kendall pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Ramirez back to the cage. Kendall follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Kurt Kendall seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Kendall misses with a wild combination.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ramirez is defended easily by Kendall.
Ramirez stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Kendall.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kendall comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Kendall misses with a wild combination.
Ramirez takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Kendall slips a jab from Ramirez.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Ramirez lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Kendall has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Kendall and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ramirez shoots in for a takedown but Kendall shows good takedown defense.
Kendall has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Ramirez doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Kendall counters with a nice leg kick.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brain Ramirez. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ramirez shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Kendall counters with a two punch combo.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ramirez throws a wild hook but Kendall just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Ramirez gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Kendall raises his hands in celebration and walks away!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:43 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kurt Kendall!
A relieved looking Kurt Kendall thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
