Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between TJ Dela Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Valentino Soto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Dela Cruz might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Masquenada. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, TJ Dela Cruz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Valentino Soto!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Matheus Silva and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Soto instigates a clinch.
Dela Cruz tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Soto smiles and moves away.
Dela Cruz tries a head kick but it misses.
Valentino Soto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Soto shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Dela Cruz counters with a one-two to the body.

Soto closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Dela Cruz quickly recovers to half guard.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Soto in particular looking to stall.
Soto wants to pass to mount but Dela Cruz is defending the position.
Dela Cruz is staying active underneath Soto, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Dela Cruz has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Soto is working away from the top position though.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Soto shoots in looking for a takedown. Dela Cruz tries to sprawl out of it but Soto keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dela Cruz manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

That was a close second round but I would say that TJ Dela Cruz will probably get the nod.

Dela Cruz got a little sloppy there for a moment and Soto has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dela Cruz has managed to get both his arms back between Soto's legs - danger averted.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Dela Cruz, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
