Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lyoto Machida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeffson Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie has chosen Cliff Richard - Summer Holiday as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lyoto Machida!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

18 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jeffson Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Daniel Cesar and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie blocks a jab.
Machida throws a hook but Gracie blocks it.
Gracie closes the distance and pushes Machida back into the cage.
Machida trying to stall but Gracie improves his position.
Gracie breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Gracie shoots in looking for a takedown. Machida tries to sprawl out of it but Gracie keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Machida manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Gracie throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Gracie decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Machida wants to get back to his feet.
Machida is concentrating on defense, preventing Gracie from advancing position.

Gracie takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Gracie is working for a guillotine from mount but Machida frees his head quite easily.
Gracie thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Machida is wriggling around trying to escape.

Machida wants to hold on but Gracie pushes him away.
Gracie can't control as he wanted to and Machida manages to get the fight back to his half guard.
Gracie is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Machida is just riding it out for now. Gracie eventually gives up the hold.
Gracie tries to pass to full mount but Machida defends it.
Gracie is keen to just control but Machida is a slippery customer.
Gracie is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Gracie sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Machida's guard.
Gracie stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Machida to get to his feet.
Jeffson Gracie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Machida throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Gracie tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Machida paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Jeffson Gracie comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Gracie has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
