Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mark Two (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Onni Jokinen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Two comes to the cage accompanied by North Korean Army Girls Just Want To Have Fun. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Two!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Onni Jokinen!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Tiny Johnson and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Two or perhaps it was just good defense by Jokinen which made him look bad.

Two scores with a takedown into Jokinen's guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Two trying to control the position from guard on top but Jokinen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Two throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Jokinen works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Two has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Two is keen to just control but Jokinen is a slippery customer.
Two wants to free his trapped foot but Jokinen is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Two seems to be trying to get a kimura but instead Jokinen has recovered full guard.

Jokinen takes a swing at Two's ribcage but misses.

Two throws a hook but Jokinen blocks it.
Two connects with an inside leg kick.
Two throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Two shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jokinen but Jokinen pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Jokinen stuffs the takedown attempt from Two. Two gets slowly back to his feet.
Jokinen moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Onni Jokinen is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Jokinen throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Jokinen misses with a body shot.
Two lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Jokinen scores with the left hand. Two knows he should have avoided that one.
Two is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Two is trying to break free.
Jokinen lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

Two swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Jokinen tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Nice defenses there by Jokinen.

Two gets the takedown into side control.
Two trying to control the position but Jokinen is working away.
Jokinen parries the strikes from Two easily there. Two is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Jokinen to escape.
Jokinen is not content to let Two control the position.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Jokinen takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Two throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Two working the ground and pound but Jokinen is defending the strikes.
Two landing strikes.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Mark Two overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The strikes coming from Two are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


The fighters circling - Two throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Jokinen displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Two.
Two shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jokinen sprawls well. Jokinen wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Two gets slowly back to his feet.
Two misses with the combination.
Two's jab looks to have found its range, popping Jokinen under the eye.
A cross from Jokinen lands.
Two takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Two throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Jokinen instigates a clinch.
Two tries to pull guard but Jokinen won't allow it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mark Two. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Two is trying to push Jokinen away but Jokinen has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Two takes a shot to the head.
Jokinen misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Jokinen is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jokinen keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Two's efforts to push away.

Jokinen tries to land a knee to the head but Two blocks with his arms.
The referee calls for Jokinen to work.
Jokinen lands on the inside with an uppercut.

Two tries to break free but Jokinen pushes him back against the cage.
Jokinen misses with a knee strike.

Two has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Jokinen uses from the top position.

Jokinen slows the pace down in half guard.
Two is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Jokinen is looking to take a break and control but Two is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Two is trying to get back to full guard.
Jokinen has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Two is in all sorts of trouble here.
Two regains half guard.
Jokinen seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Two does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Jokinen seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Two works his way to full guard. Good work.
Jokinen wants to control from the top but Two keeps moving.

Jokinen must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Two is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Jokinen defends well.

Two is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Two is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Jokinen.
Jokinen clobbers Two with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Mark Two seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Two moves out of range of the strikes.
Jokinen leaves Two with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Jokinen fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Two manages to avoid it.
Jokinen shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Jokinen does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Jokinen throws a nice outside leg kick.
Two will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Two shoots in but Jokinen avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mark Two. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Jokinen takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over.
Crunch! Jokinen slams his shin into Two's torso.

Two tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Jokinen throws a front kick that sends Two stumbling back into the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Two misses with a looping left.
Two connects with a solid leg kick.
Jokinen misses with a straight left.

Two closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Jokinen quickly recovers to half guard.
Two throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Two throwing strikes but missing.

Two missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Two pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jokinen is keeping the position for now.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Two accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Two passes Jokinen's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Two wants to work for an arm triangle but Jokinen is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Jokinen is holding on to half guard well.
Jokinen wants to get back to his feet.
Jokinen is staying active underneath Two, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Two looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Two is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Jokinen!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Two throws a wild left hand from mount and Jokinen manages to wriggle his way back to half guard.
Two thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close fourth round but I would say that Mark Two will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Two throws a lazy right hand but Jokinen sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Two shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Two showed some decent athleticism there.
Two is looking to advance position but Jokinen won't allow it.
Jokinen is looking for a sweep. Two is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Two cracks Jokinen with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Onni Jokinen has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Two cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Two sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Two wants to control the pace but Jokinen is squirming around nicely.

Mark Two is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.


Jokinen is rocked!
Two tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Jokinen is still in real trouble! Can Two finish him?
Jokinen is desperately trying to improve his position but Two has a good base and remains in mount.

Two controlling from the full mount.
Jokinen seems to have recovered his senses.
Two has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Mark Two.
Jokinen ducks right into an uppercut from Two.

And that's the end of the fight!
Mark Two showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Two has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
