Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Oliver Strong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Hill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Hill's choice of entrance music: Kiss - Detroit Rock City. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Paul Tew and James Ackerman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hill misses with a double jab.

Hill closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Hill creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Strong sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Hill in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Hill tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

Hill is trying to get an arm triangle but Strong is defending well.

Hill cracks Strong with a big right hand but Strong just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hill working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Strong gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Strong keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Hill connects with a nice short shot to Strong's temple.

Strong has hold of Hill's hands but Hill slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Hill is looking for a kimura but Strong is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Hill to get the leverage.

Hill is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Strong is just riding it out for now. Hill eventually gives up the hold.
Hill throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Hill content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Strong is trying to keep Hill in close.
Strong is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Hill stands and throws Strong's legs to the side, diving into side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hill is working Strong over with some ground and pound from side control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hill tries to move to mount but Strong blocks the move with his legs.
Hill lands some shots froms side control.
Hill has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Strong working to try and regain half guard.
Hill scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Strong is in all sorts of trouble here.
Hill lands a big shot there that rocks Strong but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Hill prevents Strong from getting the reversal.

Hill looking to control but Strong is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
