PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ramstein Rommel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mickey Felipe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Felipe has chosen Ain't That A Kick In The Head as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Daniel Bishop and Richard Clark.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Felipe throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Rommel stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Rommel gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Rommel has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Felipe has passed into side control.
Felipe is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Rommel tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Rommel is working hard here to advance position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Felipe stands up and beckons Rommel to his feet.
Felipe lands with a kick to the temple. Rommel shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Felipe fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Rommel has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Rommel shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Felipe but Felipe pushes him off and we're back to square one.

That was a close second round but I would say that Ramstein Rommel will probably get the nod.
