PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Evora (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kandee Dokata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Evora comes into the arena with D.A.D. - Bad Craziness blaring out of the sound system. Kandee Dokata will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Saam Ante and Nard Betker.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice leg kick lands there from Dokata.
Dokata thows a body kick. Evora tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Evora shoots in for a takedown but Dokata shows good takedown defense.
Evora tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Dokata manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Evora fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Dokata gets caught flat footed, as Evora shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Evora trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Evora is looking to advance position but Dokata has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Evora really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
The referee warns Evora that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Evora tries to lock up and control but Dokata gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Evora is trying desperately to improve position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Dokata connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Dokata lands a front kick.
Dokata feints a jab promting Evora to slip. Dokata then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Evora slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Dokata ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
A nice inside leg kick there by Dokata. That's going to slow Evora down.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Dokata defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Evora.
Kandee Dokata seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Horrible takedown by Evora or perhaps it was just good defense by Dokata which made him look bad.
Carlos Evora is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Dokata throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Oh Evora is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Dokata lands a big head kick that sends Evora tumbling to the mat! Dokata takes a step backwards and waves Evora back to his feet - he wants the finish!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Dokata feints a jab and as Evora dips his head, Dokata unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Evora right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Evora falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Dokata smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Kandee Dokata!
