The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hughes tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Mantegna paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Mantegna breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Mantegna uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hughes.
Mantegna swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Hughes.
Mantegna lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Hughes keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Mantegna.
Hughes looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Mantegna sends Hughes crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Mantegna is motioning to the referee to let Hughes up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Hughes is rocked!
