Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ghandi Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Wurds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wurds throws a right hand that Lee ducks under and follows up with a left that Lee also avoids with ease.

Wurds drives through with a takedown into guard.
Wurds controls from within his opponent's guard.

Wurds prevents Lee from getting back to his feet.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Wurds closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Lee quickly recovers to half guard.
Wurds content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Lee is breathing heavily.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Alex Wurds was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Wurds has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Lee.

Lee closes this distance looking for a takedown but Wurds circles away.

Wurds shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Lee's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Wurds slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Wurds is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Lee's shoulder. That is not cool.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Lee misses with a few strikes there.
Lee fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Wurds feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Wurds is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Alex Wurds showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Wurds shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lee sprawls well. Lee wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Wurds gets slowly back to his feet.

Well Wurds has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
