The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson shoots in but no luck this time.

Ruiz stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Johnson.
Ruiz lands with a hook. Johnson tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Ruiz crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Johnson - the referee stops the clock and Ruiz gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Johnson. Ruiz manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Bronko Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ruiz keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Johnson moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
