Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lyle Marks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Segio Pique (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marks comes to the cage accompanied by American Badass. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pique scores with a jab to the head.
Marks darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Marks tries to clinch up.
Marks throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Pique shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Marks defends it nicely.

Pique fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Marks stuns Pique with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Pique throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Marks tries to close the distance and clinch but Pique swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Lyle Marks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Pique scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Marks pushes Pique away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Pique gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
