Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Klahan Virote (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mao Zedong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Virote comes to the cage accompanied by Victory. Zedong has chosen March Of The Volunteers as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Mao Zedong acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zedong buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Virote chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Zedong can pounce on him.

Zedong's jab looks to have found its range, popping Virote under the eye.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Zedong, right into the meat.
Zedong bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Virote's head.

Zedong clinches up with Virote and pushes him back against the cage.
Zedong goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Virote is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Virote can't seem to implement his control oriented gameplan at the moment. That's no bad thing of course, for those of us who want to see a good fight.

Virote seems to have got his legs back now.
Zedong cracks a nice hook into Virote's ribs.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Mao Zedong dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Zedong fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Virote looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Zedong fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Virote has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

The referee is keeping an eye on Zedong - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Virote is looking to control Zedong's arms but Zedong gets an underhook and turns him. Now Virote has his back to the cage.
Mao Zedong seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.
Zedong has the Thai clinch. He lands a big knee to the head that stumbles Virote - he's in trouble! Another big knee to the head from Zedong, and another! Virote is out on his feet - the ref jumps in to save him and ends the fight!

After the fight, Mao Zedong was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
