Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Demetrious Bingham!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 3 - 2, fighting out of Sydney, Zef Tanghe!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Winston Howard and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bingham gets caught flat footed, as Tanghe shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Bingham not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Tanghe trying to control the position from guard on top but Bingham is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Bingham tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Tanghe wants to pass the guard but Bingham is keeping the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Some wild striking there from Tanghe.
Bingham looks to score with a jab to the body but Tanghe is just out of range.

Tanghe delivers a nice body kick.
Tanghe closes this distance looking for a takedown but Bingham circles away.

Tanghe shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Bingham eats them both and turns towards Tanghe to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Zef Tanghe seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Bingham shoots in looking for a takedown but Tanghe manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Bingham's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Tanghe is trying to maintain the position but Bingham is very close to passing his half guard.

Tanghe pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Bingham is desperately trying to improve his position but Tanghe has a good base and remains in mount.
Tanghe can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Bingham is looking to escape.

Tanghe wants to control the pace but Bingham is squirming around nicely.
Tanghe breaks from Bingham's wrist control and lands an elbow.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Tanghe postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Bingham looks a forlorn figure.

Bingham avoids a series of strikes thrown by Tanghe.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Zef Tanghe showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Tanghe's corner calls for a 1-2. Tanghe obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Tanghe closes the distance and clinches up with Bingham, looking for a takedown. Tanghe pushes Bingham against the cage but Bingham circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Bingham shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Tanghe is trying to defend but Bingham finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Bingham is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Bingham is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Tanghe to slip a leg under and get back to full guard.

Bingham keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Tanghe's head.

Bingham has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Tanghe utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Tanghe bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bingham's guard.
Bingham has his hands on Tanghe's head, controlling the position.

Demetrious Bingham has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Bingham is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Demetrious Bingham.
Well Tanghe has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
