Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yoshiro Gomi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kung Lao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
14 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yoshiro Gomi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Kung Lao!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Alan Glass and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lao throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Gomi sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Gomi closes the distance looking to clinch
and Lao counters with a left to the body.
Lao tries to keep at a distance but Gomi has taken the fight into the clinch.
Lao stops a takedown attempt from Gomi.
Gomi trying to control the position but instead, Lao has worked for underhooks and has pushed Gomi into the cage.
Gomi takes a shot to the head.
Lao misses with a hook from the clinch.
Gomi jumps guard but Lao stands there with Gomi around his waist. Gomi gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Lao swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Lao throws a head punch that misses.
Lao slowing the pace effectively.
Gomi fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yoshiro Gomi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lao breaks from the clinch.
Gomi feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Lao looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Lao is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Lao is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Gomi trying to control the position from guard on top but Lao is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Gomi postures up in Lao's guard and throws a big left but Lao blocks it.
Gomi trying to control but Lao is working from the bottom.
Gomi trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Lao wants to sweep but no luck.

Gomi trying to move into half guard but instead Lao has managed to sweep!
Gomi avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Gomi manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lao wants to control but Gomi is having none of it.
Lao is squirming around, avoiding Gomi's attempts to control the action.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Gomi looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Gomi jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Lao is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Lao and Gomi has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Gomi connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Lao some visible discomfort.
Gomi tries for a kimura but Lao is defending well.
Gomi tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Gomi has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Lao is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Gomi's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Gomi seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Lao does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Lao has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Gomi is working away from the top position though.
Gomi is trying to work for a kimura but Lao is defending well.
Gomi wants to pass the guard but Lao is defending well.
Gomi with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Lao wants to improve his position but Gomi is controlling well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Gomi tries for a takedown but Lao sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Lao thumps Gomi with a low kick.
Lao throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Gomi.
It looks like Yoshiro Gomi has been cut.
Yoshiro Gomi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gomi staying out of range there.
Gomi wants to clinch up but Lao keeps it at a distance.
Lao buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Gomi tries to clinch up.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gomi drives through with a takedown into guard.
Yoshiro Gomi overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Gomi working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Gomi is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Lao is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Lao has escaped and now he's on top!

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Gomi not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Lao would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Lao is looking to chop away at Gomi's legs.
Gomi closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Gomi lands in his opponent's guard.
Lao is trying to control the position but Gomi postures up.
Lao tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Gomi wants to control from the top but Lao keeps moving.

Lao is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Gomi is aware though and is defending well.
Lao is looking for a triangle here but Gomi uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Gomi thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Gomi wants to control but Lao is keeping him busy.

Lao tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Gomi has advanced to mount. Uh oh.

A close second round but Kung Lao will probably get the nod - 10:9.

Gomi goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Lao throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Lao stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Lao wants it to stay on the feet.
Gomi ducks right into an uppercut from Lao.
Gomi has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Lao.
Lao swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Gomi.
Gomi takes a swing at Lao's ribcage but misses.
Gomi closes the distance looking to clinch
and Lao counters with a head kick.
Kung Lao seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Lao lands a really nice looking cross but Gomi seems unphased.

and Lao counters with a right hand to the body.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yoshiro Gomi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Lao swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Kung Lao is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Gomi shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lao sprawls well. Lao wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gomi gets slowly back to his feet.
Yoshiro Gomi is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Gomi moves in looking to clinch but Lao pushes him off.
A big left from Lao misses.
Lao throws the kick towards the body but Gomi avoids it.
Lao missing with a left hand there. Gomi was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Lao thumps Gomi with a low kick.
Gomi steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Lao. That one must have hurt.
Lao clobbers Gomi with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lao throws a good cross that connects.
A nice leg kick lands there from Lao.
A shot to the body from Gomi misses
and Lao counters with a body kick that stops Gomi in his tracks momentarily.
Lao moves into range and connects with a jab.
Lao throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Gomi throws a left and a right that both miss
and Lao counters with a stiff right hand.
A chopping leg kick lands by Lao.
Lao slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Gomi fails with a takedown attempt.
Gomi stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Lao.
A solid body kick from Lao.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Lao.
Gomi walks into a left hand.

Lao scores with a jab to the body.
Gomi takes one to the chin there.
Lao rushes Gomi and presses him up against the cage.
Lao scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Gomi stalling in the clinch but Lao improves position.
Lao tries to throw a body punch but Gomi avoids it by throwing Lao back against the cage.
Lao tries to land knees in the clinch but Gomi avoids the damage to the body.
Gomi misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Gomi lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Gomi throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Laos head.
Gomi lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Lao scores with an uppercut up the middle.

Lao lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Gomi or not.
Lao pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Lao lands a big head kick that sends Gomi tumbling to the mat! Lao takes a step backwards and waves Gomi back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Gomi is rocked!
Lao lands an overhand right.
Oh Gomi is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Lao takes a swing at Gomi's ribcage but misses.
Lao leaves Gomi with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Gomi seems to have got his legs back now.
Lao moves into range and clinches up with Gomi.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Gomi struggles to land a body shot inside as Lao controls his hands.

Lao can't find room to land a body shot as Gomi controls the action.
And that's the end of the fight!
Kung Lao comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Lao has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
