And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Gregory Folan and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Evers shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says King as he avoids it easily.
King tries to bum rush Evers with a series of wild strikes but Evers uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
King blocks a head kick by Evers.
A left and a right from King both land. Nice combination.


It looks like Tinker Evers has been cut.
Evers misses with a series of wild punches.

Evers closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into King's guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
King trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Evers has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Evers manages to get an easy takedown there - catching King on his heels. He'll look to pass King's guard now, I'm sure.

Evers shoots in for a double leg but King sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

King will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Evers remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
