Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ezekio Rubblesnaph (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy Sieve (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ezekio Rubblesnaph!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tommy Sieve!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Dillan Fox and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rubblesnaph closes the distance and clinches.
Rubblesnaph with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Sieve is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Rubblesnaph to keep the fight standing.

Rubblesnaph manages to break the clinch.

Rubblesnaph is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Sieve's half guard.
Rubblesnaph not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Sieve looks like he's trying to stand up.

Sieve controls Rubblesnaph momentarily but Rubblesnaph frees himself.
Sieve utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Rubblesnaph stands up over Sieve, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Rubblesnaph is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Sieve is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Sieve has escaped and now he's on top!

Sieve has gone for a leg lock! Rubblesnaph slips out almost immediately though and dives into Sieve's guard.
Sieve controls Rubblesnaph momentarily but Rubblesnaph frees himself.
Sieve is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Rubblesnaph has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rubblesnaph wants to control from the top but Sieve keeps moving.
Rubblesnaph is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Rubblesnaph lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Rubblesnaph looking to sit in guard and control but Sieve gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Tommy Sieve wasn't active enough on the ground.
Sieve tries to clinch but Rubblesnaph is having none of it.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Sieve.

Sieve shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Sieve was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Rubblesnaph is squirming around, avoiding Sieve's attempts to control the action.
Sieve avoids the attempt from Rubblesnaph to control.
Sieve sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Sieve can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Rubblesnaph is looking to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Ezekio Rubblesnaph will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action!


Sieve shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rubblesnaph pinned against the cage. Rubblesnaph gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Sieve is looking to clinch.

Rubblesnaph has Sieve up against the cage in a clinch.
Rubblesnaph tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Sieve scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Rubblesnaph tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Rubblesnaph lands a good knee to the midsection. Sieve won't want to take too many of those.

It looks like Tommy Sieve has been cut.
Sieve wants to get back to striking at distance but Rubblesnaph won't allow it.
Sieve putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Rubblesnaph in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.

Sieve pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Sieve changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rubblesnaph tries to avoid it but Sieve manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rubblesnaph to the ground. Rubblesnaph escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Sieve shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Rubblesnaph napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Sieve goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Rubblesnaph has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Sieve but great work by Rubblesnaph.
Rubblesnaph will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Rubblesnaph scores with a couple of short elbows.

Rubblesnaph is trying to get an arm triangle but Sieve is defending well.
Sieve regains half guard.

Rubblesnaph is working for a kimura here but Sieve manages to reverse the position and he's now in Rubblesnaph's guard.

Sieve stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rubblesnaph swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Rubblesnaph is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Ezekio Rubblesnaph overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Rubblesnaph keeping moving, preventing Sieve from controlling successfully.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Sieve fails with the takedown

and Rubblesnaph holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Ezekio Rubblesnaph has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tommy Sieve.

Rubblesnaph pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Sieve throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Rubblesnaph gets a clinch.
Rubblesnaph connects with a nasty looking knee right to Sieve's face.
Sieve is looking to break free of the clinch but Rubblesnaph has double underhooks.
Rubblesnaph looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Sieve tries to break free but Rubblesnaph pushes him back against the cage.

Rubblesnaph throws a knee to the head but misses.
Sieve wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Sieve jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Rubblesnaph walks away with a smile on his face. Sieve gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Rubblesnaph uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

That was a close second round but I would say that Ezekio Rubblesnaph will probably get the nod.

Rubblesnaph turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Sieve working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rubblesnaph doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rubblesnaph manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Sieve lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Rubblesnaph!

Sieve can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Rubblesnaph is looking to escape.

Sieve is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Rubblesnaph to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Rubblesnaph shrugs it off.

Sieve shoots for a double leg takedown but Rubblesnaph sprawls well. He's pushed Sieve's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Sieve.

Sieve gets tackled into the cage by Rubblesnaph. Rubblesnaph maintains the clinch.

Rubblesnaph breaks from the clinch.
Sieve shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Rubblesnaph as he avoids it easily.
Sieve throws a right and a left that Rubblesnaph avoids nicely.
Rubblesnaph moves out of range as Sieve strikes.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Sieve gets tackled into the cage by Rubblesnaph. Rubblesnaph maintains the clinch.

Rubblesnaph breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Rubblesnaph tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sieve swats him away and circles back towards the center.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Sieve misses with a low kick as Rubblesnaph jumps back.

Rubblesnaph scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Rubblesnaph stands up and beckons Sieve to his feet.
Ezekio Rubblesnaph is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Rubblesnaph drives through and clinches with Sieve against the cage.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Tommy Sieve.
I think Rubblesnaph has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
