The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, George Francis and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Manson misses with the combination.
Manson throws and low kick but Webb moves out of range easily.

Webb closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Manson is trying to break free.

Webb escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Manson throws a series of punches but Webb avoids them all with ease.
Manson throws a nice looking combination but Webb bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Manson tries to bum rush Webb with a series of wild strikes but Webb uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Webb shoots in and bounces Manson off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Webb drops back, looking for a kneebar! Manson looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Manson looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Manson!

Webb is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Manson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Webb throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Manson is pushing Webb's head away, looking to escape. Webb manages to hold on to the position though.

Webb stands up and beckons Manson to his feet.

Manson looks to land a combination but Webb avoids it well.
Charles Manson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Webb shoots in for a takedown but Manson shows good takedown defense.
No joy there for Manson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Webb avoids a punch combination nicely.

Manson throws a leg kick but Webb sees it coming and moves out of range.

Webb closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Webb dodges the punch combination from Manson.
Webb throws a right hand that Manson ducks under and follows up with a left that Manson also avoids with ease.

Charles Manson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Webb seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Manson is holding on tight.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Manson uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Webb throws a sloppy head kick and Manson moves out of range easily.
Manson throws a right and a left that both miss.

Webb clinches with his opponent.
Webb is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Webb changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Manson fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Webb looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Manson!

Webb goes for an armbar but Manson turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Manson.

Webb has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Manson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Webb is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Webb has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Manson has passed into side control.
Webb tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Manson wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Manson avoids the strikes from the bottom by Webb.
Webb tries to buck Manson off but Manson is having none of it.

Webb looking for a sweep but Manson has passed into full mount! Oh no!

Webb is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Manson jumps into side control!
Webb bucks up and tries to throw Manson off but instead Manson has got his back!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Webb rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Charles Manson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Manson escapes and gets back to his feet.
Manson dodges the punch combination from Webb.
Webb checks a leg kick nicely.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
No joy there for Manson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Manson takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Manson looks to land a right hand but Webb moved out of range.

And that's the end of the fight!
James Webb showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Webb, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
