These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brooks throws a one two combo.
Jason Suarez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Suarez looks to land a combination. Brooks sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Brooks throws a sloppy head kick and Suarez moves out of range easily.
Suarez throws a series of punches but Brooks moves out of range.
Suarez swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Brooks counters with a low kick, right behind Suarez 's knee.
Suarez is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Suarez keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Suarez throws a combination that misses
and Brooks counters with a good, hard body kick but Suarez shrugs it off.
Suarez is breathing heavily.
Suarez takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Suarez has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
A combination from Suarez does no damage.
Brooks throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Suarez crumples to the floor and the fight is over!
