PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Horst Schiller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rogue Four (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Schiller's entrance music is Mad World. A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Horst Schiller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rogue Four!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Tiny Johnson and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Four closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Schiller to the mat! Schiller manages to get full guard.
Four slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Schiller is looking to stand up but Four isn't so interested in that idea.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Four displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Schiller throws out the jab.

Four manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Schiller on his heels. He'll look to pass Schiller's guard now, I'm sure.

Rogue Four is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Four is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Schiller's half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Schiller is not content to let Four control the position.

Rogue Four has got the better of the ground game so far.
Four works his foot free and advances to mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Four swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Schiller is now in Four's guard. A big mistake from Four there, giving up the dominant position!

Four has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Schiller can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Rogue Four showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Schiller pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Schiller will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Four shoots for a double leg takedown but Schiller sprawls well. He's pushed Four's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Schiller fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Four has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
