De Vries comes to the cage accompanied by Decibel Ending!. Kupke De Vries is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Vries looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
De Vries uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Vandalay.
Vandalay pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
De Vries throws the left hand but Vandalay avoids the punch easily.
De Vries fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Vandalay is out of range.
Vandalay throws a low kick but De Vries moves out of range easily.
Vandalay attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Vandalay swats away the attempt to clinch by De Vries.
Vandalay stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from De Vries.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Vandalay crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from De Vries - the referee stops the clock and Vandalay gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says De Vries. Vandalay manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Vandalay. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

A determined Art Vandalay didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
