Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tiny Foxton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hector Reyes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tiny Foxton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Hector Reyes!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Roger Salmon and Paul Gruel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Foxton tries for a takedown but Reyes sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Reyes shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Foxton is on top in guard.
Reyes pulls Foxton in to control the position.

Reyes had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Foxton defends it easily.

Foxton wants to work for an arm triangle but Reyes is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Foxton jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Reyes manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Reyes is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Foxton wants to get back to his feet.
Foxton wants to lay and pray for a moment but Reyes keeps working.
Foxton slips a nice elbow through Reyes's hands, connecting with Reyes's forehead.

Reyes really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Foxton. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Foxton can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Reyes is looking to escape.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Foxton lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Reyes shoots in for a double leg but Foxton sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Reyes should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Foxton will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Tiny Foxton is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Foxton feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Reyes pushes Foxton away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Foxton gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Reyes fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Foxton avoids it really well and circles away.
Tiny Foxton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hector Reyes.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
