Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Manute Bol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucky Charm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lucky Charm is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Manute Bol!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lucky Charm!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Jonathan Paton and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Charm takes a kick to the side of the head.
Charm gets cracked there but stands up to it.
A head kick from Bol lands but Charm takes it in his stride.
Bol connects with a high kick.
Bol will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Charm throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Charm drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Charm controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
I looks like Charm might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Charm pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bol is keeping the position for now.
Bol being controlled here, momentarily.

Bol is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Charm controls from within his opponent's guard.
Charm wants to pass the guard but Bol is keeping the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Charm gets to his feet - Bol follows without any prompting.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Charm looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Charm controlling from the top position.
Charm trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Charm not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Bol working a defensive guard here.

Bol keeping full guard, as Charm tries to pass.
Charm slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Despite being in the dominant position, Lucky Charm just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Charm bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Charm slows the pace down.

Charm's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Charm tries to move to mount but Bol blocks the move with his legs.
Bol tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Charm stands up.
Bol throws a head kick that half lands.
Bol takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Charm closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lucky Charm dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Charm looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Danga de danga de dang - Bol scores with a four punch combination!
Bol scores with a nice head shot.
A head kick from Bol lands but Charm takes it in his stride.

Charm fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Bol sprawls well initially but Charm persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Bol tries to get to full guard but Charm has control of the leg.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Bol is looking to control Charm's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Bol avoid being mounted?
Charm controlling the pace.
Bol wants to get back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bol tries to roll over but Charm keeps him under control.
Charm controlling the action here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Bol is trying to stand back up but Charm is controlling him

Bol lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Bol really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Charm takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Charm tries to bum rush Bol with a series of wild strikes but Bol uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Charm looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Charm is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Bol keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Bol is trying to stand up here but Charm is controlling him well.
Charm sitting and controlling from the half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lucky Charm showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


A head kick from Bol lands but Charm takes it in his stride.
Bol lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Bol scores with a hook.

Charm shoots in and bounces Bol off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Charm trying to move into half guard but instead Bol has managed to sweep!
Bol will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Charm pushes Bol off and scrambles back to his feet.

Charm gets a takedown into half guard.
Charm is looking to take a break and control but Bol is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Charm is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Charm takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Bol is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Charm trying to control from half guard but Bol is working away.
Charm wants to free his trapped foot but Bol is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Charm is trying to control the action in half guard but Bol is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Bol is trying to stand.

Charm decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Charm walks into a stiff left hand from Bol.
Charm takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Charm feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Charm trying to control the position from guard on top but Bol is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Charm postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Bol is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Charm, into his guard.
Bol has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Charm keeping moving, preventing Bol from controlling successfully.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Charm managing to control the position.
Charm manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Charm takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Bol tries to hold on but Charm postures up.

And that's the end of the fight!
Lucky Charm comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Charm winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
