Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Paulo Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Sionss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sionss with a poor takedown
and Souza counters by moving into the clinch.
Souza jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Sionss walks away with a smile on his face. Souza gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Souza doesn't manage to clinch there - Sionss circles away.
Souza tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Sionss swivels and escapes.
Sionss shoots in for a double leg but Souza sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Sionss avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
