Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chase Ries (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Austin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Austin comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Stone Cold theme kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ries shoots in looking for a takedown. Austin tries to sprawl out of it but Ries keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Austin manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Austin will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Ries shoots in for a takedown but Austin shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Chase Ries seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Horrible takedown by Ries or perhaps it was just good defense by Austin which made him look bad.

Ries shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Austin napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Ries throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Austin works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
