Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Franklyn Lucas and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Polyakov throws a left and a right that both miss
and Makkea counters with a body kick.
Polyakov moves into range and connects with a jab.
Polyakov scores with a nice strike.
Makkea changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Polyakov tries to avoid it but Makkea manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Polyakov to the ground. Polyakov escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Makkea throws a series of punches but Polyakov moves out of range.
Makkea tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Polyakov paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Polyakov slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Polyakov lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
The fight stays on the outside here - Makkea looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Polyakov really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Polyakov scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Makkea bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Polyakov throws a jab when Makkea was well out of range.

Antoniev Polyakov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Makkea will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Makkea takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Polyakov thuds his right hand into Makkea's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Polyakov is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Makkea.
Polyakov bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Makkea is rocked!
Polyakov is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Makkea takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Makkea is still on wobbly legs! Can Polyakov finish him?
Makkea walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Makkea limp body while Polyakov jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!
