Hao has chosen Year of the Dragon as his entrance music. Andre Rector could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Feng Kai Hao's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Feng Kai Hao!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hao looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Hao swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Rector counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Hao is looking to stand up but Rector isn't so interested in that idea.
Rector controls from within his opponent's guard.
Hao wants to stand but Rector is controlling the position.

Rector has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Rector forces Hao back against the cage and clinches.

Hao is fighting off a takedown attempt but Rector is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Hao to the mat. Hao regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hao misses with a double jab.
Hao throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rector's waist but Rector gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hao off to one side.
Rector throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Hao throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Rector slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Andre Rector has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Rector moves into the clinch successfully.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Rector throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hao was covering up waiting for the punch and Rector finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Rector gets to his feet. Hao looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Hao tries for a takedown but Rector circles away easily

Hao is breathing heavily.

Rector is trying to trip Hao. He has hold of a leg but Hao is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Rector persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Still in half guard, Rector seems content to control.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Hao throws a right and a left that both miss.
Rector is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Hao can do to turn this around?
Hao wants to slow Rector down by chopping away at his legs.

Feng Kai Hao seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hao takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Rector has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Hao regains guard immediately.
