The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taylor shoots in for a takedown but Stroud shows good takedown defense.
Taylor takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Jeff Stroud seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Stroud scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Stroud lands a leg kick that knocks Taylor off balance momentarily.
Stroud lunges at Taylor with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Taylor's hand.
Taylor looks winded!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Taylor takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Stroud misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Stroud connects with a right that clearly hurt Taylor. He's backed up against the cage with nowhere to go as Stroud proceeds to tee off with vicious combinations till Taylor collapses and taps out under the pressure!
