Smith has chosen Duality - Slipknot as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith misses with a wild body shot.
Rex walks into a stiff left hand from Smith.
A head kick misses from Rex.
Rex misses with a takedown attempt - Smith sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Smith swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Smith lands with a nice body punch.
Rex takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Smith leaves Rex with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rex ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Noel Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smith looks to score with a jab to the body but Rex is just out of range.
A slow jab from Smith misses its intended target.

Smith looks to land a combination but Rex avoids it well.
Rex takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Rex blocks a head kick by Smith.
Smith loads up on a big right hand but Rex slips the punch.
Smith takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Smith misses with a jab, cross combination.
Smith lands a nice shot that snaps Rex's head back.
Rex misses with a body kick.
Rex checks the leg kick nicely there.

Smith walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Smith throws a hook but Rex avoids it easily.
The fighters circling - Smith throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Rex jabbing away but nothing is landing.
No joy there for Smith, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Smith displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Rex throws out the jab.
Smith throws a right and a left that both miss.
Smith moves away from the strike by Rex.
Rex throws a good cross that connects.
Smith keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Spandex Rex. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rex walks into a left hand.

Rex tries to score a power double leg takedown but Smith sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rex somewhat.
Smith might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Smith tries to bum rush Rex with a series of wild strikes but Rex uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Rex throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Smith circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Rex drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Smith follows Rex to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
