Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Denny Chase (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Liberius Beowulf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chase comes to the cage accompanied by Forever. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Denny Chase!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Liberius Beowulf!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, David Schapiro and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beowulf tries a head kick but it misses.
Beowulf misses with a head kick.
Good shot there by Chase.
Chase fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Beowulf looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Chase fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Chase just misses with a punch to the body.
Chase swings for the body but Beowulf moves out of range.
Beowulf throws a low kick but Chase avoids it.
Chase cracks Beowulf with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Chase takes a swing at Beowulf's ribcage but misses.
Beowulf doesn't manage to clinch there - Chase circles away.
Denny Chase seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chase lands a lovely overhand right.
Beowulf throws a nice inside leg kick.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Beowulf lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Beowulf dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Chase throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Beowulf closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Beowulf cracks the inside of Chase's front leg.
Beowulf goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Beowulf moves into the clinch.

Chase is trying to break the clinch but Beowulf has him pressed against the cage.
Beowulf lands a nice uppercut.
Beowulf lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
A short body shot lands from Beowulf as the two fighters clinch.
Beowulf tries a body shot but Chase blocks it.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Beowulf creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Beowulf scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Chase has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
A nice left hand lands by Beowulf.
Beowulf scores with a shoulder strike.

Beowulf breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Chase tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Beowulf was well out of range. Poor timing from Chase.
Chase misses with a left hand
and Beowulf counters with a nice kick to the body.
Chase just misses with a punch to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Beowulf tries to close the distance and clinch but Chase swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Chase takes a swing at Beowulf's ribcage but misses.
Beowulf throws a push kick but Chase slaps the foot to one side.
Chase misses with an uppercut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Beowulf throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Chase gets tackled into the cage by Beowulf. Beowulf maintains the clinch.

Beowulf breaks the clinch.
Chase loads up on a big right hand but Beowulf slips the punch.
Chase throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Beowulf counters with a leg kick.
Beowulf will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Chase misses the jab.
Chase swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Chase misses with a hook. Beowulf ducked under it nicely.
Chase misses with a wild body shot.
Chase is looking to wear down Beowulf with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Chase moves out of range of the body kick from Beowulf.
Chase swings away with a body shot that misses
and Beowulf counters with a nice kick to the body.
A looping hook to the body misses from Chase. Beowulf does a little dance to reset his feet.

Chase throws a jab but it's blocked by Beowulf.

Beowulf has closed the distance and engaged Chase in a clinch.
Chase is trying to break free.
Chase wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Beowulf has him pressed against the cage.
Chase blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Beowulf breaks the clinch.
Chase throws a body punch but Beowulf moves out of range.
Beowulf throws a series of punches but Chase moves out of range.
Beowulf lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Chase sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Chase is breathing heavily.
Beowulf just misses with a punch to the body.
Beowulf connects with an inside leg kick.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Beowulf scores with a nice body kick.
Beowulf lands with a straight right. Chase didn't see that one coming.
Beowulf connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Beowulf scores with a leg kick.

Beowulf moves into the clinch successfully.
Beowulf makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Beowulf lands a body shot.
Beowulf lands with a right to the head.
Beowulf lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Chase backwards.
Beowulf lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Chase backwards.
Beowulf makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Chase takes a shot to the head.
Chase wants to take the fight to the mat but Beowulf manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Beowulf pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Beowulf with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Chase to score with a decent uppercut.
Beowulf throws a half hearted mid kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Liberius Beowulf dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Chase wants to get back to striking at distance but Beowulf won't allow it.
Beowulf can't find room to land a body shot as Chase controls the action.

A right hook to the body lands for Beowulf.
Beowulf tries to throw a body punch but Chase avoids it by throwing Beowulf back against the cage.
Beowulf pushes Chase back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Beowulf lands with a light punch inside.
Beowulf lands with a left to the head.
Beowulf doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Beowulf is pushing Chase up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
A right handed body shot lands from Beowulf.
Chase looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Beowulf lands a left hand.
Chase has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Beowulf lands a nice uppercut.
Beowulf digs a right hand into Chase's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Chase's gas tank.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Beowulf breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Chase is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Liberius Beowulf seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Beowulf drives through and clinches with Chase against the cage.
Chase tries to circle away but Beowulf has him pinned against the cage.

A left hand lands to the body for Beowulf.
Beowulf lands an uppercut.
Chase wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Chase takes a shot to the head.

Beowulf breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Chase on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Beowulf. Beowulf obviously looking to wear him down.
Beowulf connects with a crisp jab.
Chase gets hit by the mother of all head kicks and drops to the canvas in a crumpled heap! Woooow, the Internet is going to be talking about this one for weeks!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:53 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Liberius Beowulf!
Liberius Beowulf opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
