PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Paul Bearinstein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julio Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Criminal Minded. Julio Smith told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith lands a nice leg kick that just misses Bearinstein's sensitive parts.
Smith scores with a jab. Bearinstein acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
A punch lands to the side of Bearinstein 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Bearinstein takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
A combination from Smith does no damage.
Smith fails to land with a series of punches.
Smith pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Bearinstein back to the cage. Smith follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

It looks like Paul Bearinstein has been cut.

Smith throws a sloppy head kick and Bearinstein moves out of range easily.
Smith throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Bearinstein connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Smith throws a series of punches but Bearinstein avoids them all with ease.
Bearinstein misses with a looping left.
Bearinstein takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Smith throws a right and a left that Bearinstein avoids nicely.
Smith fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Bearinstein looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Smith blocks a head kick by Bearinstein.
Bearinstein is breathing heavily.
Smith lands with a kick to the temple. Bearinstein shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Smith feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Bearinstein's calf.
A slow jab from Bearinstein misses its intended target.

Bearinstein swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Smith misses with a looping left.
Bearinstein stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Bearinstein fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Smith has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Smith connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Bearinstein throws a head kick that misses.
Bearinstein has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Smith finds it's way round the side to connect with Bearinstein's head.
Smith throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Smith looks to land a combination but Bearinstein avoids it well.
Smith throws a series of punches but Bearinstein moves out of range.
Smith's corner calls for a 1-2. Smith obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Bearinstein drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bearinstein avoids a punch combination nicely.

Smith throws a right and a left that Bearinstein avoids nicely.
Smith throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Bearinstein colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Smith as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Bearinstein is left battered and dazed whilst Smith and his camp cheer!
