The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Algorithm shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Bonavena defends it nicely.
Bonavena just misses with a punch to the body.
Algorithm takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Algorithm fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Bonavena avoids a punch combination nicely.

Bonavena throws out a loose jab but Algorithm uses good head movement to avoid it.

Algorithm throws a sloppy head kick and Bonavena moves out of range easily.

Algorithm shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Algorithm feints and then cracks Bonavena's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Bonavena down.

Algorithm uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bonavena.
Bonavena misses with an uppercut
and Algorithm counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Algorithm takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Algorithm takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Good leg kick by Algorithm there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Bonavena is breathing heavily.
Algorithm fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bonavena avoids it really well and circles away.
Algorithm connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Bonavena swings for the body but Algorithm moves out of range.

Algorithm swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Bonavena throws a looping overhand right but Algorithm ducks down to avoid it.
Bonavena rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Algorithm counters with a thumping low kick.
Oskar Bonavena is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Algorithm throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Bonavena tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Algorithm is in Bonavena's guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Bonavena can't keep his opponent in guard - Algorithm advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Algorithm frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Algorithm has control of Bonavena's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Bonavena regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Bonavena has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.

Algorithm is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Bonavena knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Bonavena for a finish.
