Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mark Stanton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Piotr Dlugi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mark Stanton has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Piotr Dlugi!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Glass and Chris Edwards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stanton throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Dlugi shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Stanton ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Dlugi moves away.
Dlugi catches Stanton with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Stanton leaves Dlugi with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Stanton stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Dlugi.
Stanton throws a right and a left that Dlugi avoids nicely.
Stanton connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Dlugi scores with a jab to the jaw.
Stanton tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Dlugi fails with the takedown.
Mark Stanton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Piotr Dlugi.
Stanton throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Dlugi on the side of the head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

and Stanton counters with a straight right hand.

Dlugi misses with a takedown attempt - Stanton sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

and Dlugi takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Dlugi closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Dlugi lands in his opponent's guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Stanton is pulling down on Dlugi's head. It's preventing any offense from Dlugi, at least for the moment.
Stanton wants to stand up but Dlugi is controlling him.

Stanton had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Dlugi defends it easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Stanton is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Dlugi defends well.

Stanton is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Stanton seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Dlugi trying to control the position from guard on top but Stanton is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Dlugi accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Dlugi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Stanton swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Stanton is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Dlugi is aware though and is defending well.
Dlugi wants to control from the top but Stanton keeps moving.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Piotr Dlugi.
Stanton throws a chopping leg kick but Dlugi manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Mark Stanton will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Dlugi fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Piotr Dlugi is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
A punch lands to the side of Dlugi 's head but he takes it in his stride.

It looks like Piotr Dlugi has been cut.
Stanton throws a half hearted mid kick.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Stanton throws a wild body kick that Dlugi sees coming a mile off.
Stanton tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Dlugi checks the leg kick nicely there.
Dlugi is still on wobbly legs! Can Stanton finish him?
Stanton fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Dlugi square on the jaw! Damn, Dlugi is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!
