The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jorge rushes Cortez and presses him up against the cage.

Jorge is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Cortez to keep the fight standing.

Jorge shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Cortez pinned against the cage. Cortez gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Cortez misses with a straight right.
Tico Cortez is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Cortez dodges the punch combination from Jorge.
Jorge takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Jorge shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Jorge was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Jorge has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Cortez's face.
