Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leto II Atreides (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Silvester Szymanski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Szymanski has Atreides up against the cage in a clinch.
Szymanski looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Atreides decides to pull guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Szymanski has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Atreides is proving hard to escape from.

Szymanski stands up and waves to Atreides to follow him.
Szymanski circles away from the clinch attempt.

Atreides fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Szymanski sprawls well initially but Atreides persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Atreides lands with a punch from half guard.
Atreides frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Szymanski is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Atreides postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Szymanski looks a forlorn figure.

Atreides lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Atreides has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Szymanski's face.
Atreides has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Atreides takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Atreides is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Szymanski to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Szymanski shrugs it off.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Atreides has control of Szymanski's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Szymanski regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Szymanski takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Atreides's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
