PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Beat Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Vaghi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brown kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is Coal Chamber--Loco. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vaghi is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Brown.

Brown drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Brown creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Vaghi sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Brown lands a few punches from side control.
You can see the frustration on Vaghi's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Brown is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Vaghi knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Brown decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Brown has had enough of the clinch but Vaghi keeps him there for the moment.

Brown scores with a one two! Vaghi had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Vaghi is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Vaghi dodges the ground and pound from Brown.
Vaghi is not content to let Brown control the position.
Brown is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Vaghi is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Brown fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Vaghi looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

and Vaghi counters with a low kick, right behind Brown 's knee.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Brown moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Vaghi stuffs the takedown attempt from Brown. Brown gets slowly back to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Brown throws a low kick, looking for Vaghi's leg but Vaghi calmly moves out of range.
Brown is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Vaghi hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
