Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Peter Jacobs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ron Paul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Peter Jacobs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ron Paul!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Frank Dennis and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Paul gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Jacobs takes an elbow to the temple.
Jacobs managing to block the knees to the body from Paul.
Paul misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Paul wants the takedown. Jacobs is fighting it off but Paul persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Jacobs's guard against the cage.

Paul stands up and waves to Jacobs to follow him.
Jacobs stuns Paul with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
A punch combination from Jacobs misses.
Jacobs throws a series of punches but Paul moves out of range.
Jacobs misses with a series of wild punches.
Jacobs throws a series of punches but Paul avoids them all with ease.
Jacobs will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Paul instigates a clinch.
Paul gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Paul pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Jacobs falls off balance throwing a combination

and Paul counters by moving into the clinch.

Paul is trying to trip Jacobs. He has hold of a leg but Jacobs is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Paul persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Jacobs is working an open guard so Paul takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Jacobs lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Paul circles away quickly and effectively.
Jacobs fails to land with a series of punches.
Jacobs misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Paul.
Jacobs throws a leg kick
and Paul counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Paul wants a takedown.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jacobs pulls Paul into guard.

Jacobs is working an open guard so Paul takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Jacobs throws a series of punches but Paul moves out of range.

Jacobs throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Jacobs wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Paul has him pressed against the cage.
Jacobs tries to pull guard but Paul forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Paul is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Jacobs can't fight it off and eventually Paul manages to take the fight to the floor. Jacobs looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Paul wants to pass the guard but Jacobs is keeping the position.

Paul stands up and beckons Jacobs to his feet.
Paul has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
The fight stays on the outside here - Jacobs looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Paul wants to clinch up but Jacobs keeps it at a distance.
Jacobs tries to clinch but Paul moves out of range.
Jacobs misses with a series of wild punches.
Jacobs tries to land a leg kick but Paul saw it coming and moves away.

Paul shoots in and bounces Jacobs off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Jacobs wants to get back to his feet but Paul is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Paul feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Paul stands and throws Jacobs's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Jacobs is looking to regain half guard here but Paul keeps moving and retains side control.

Jacobs knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Paul on the ground.

You can see the frustration on Jacobs's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Paul tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Paul has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Paul is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Jacobs has escaped the position, nice work there.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Paul thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jacobs is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Paul stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Jacobs fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Paul, pushing him back against the cage.

Paul tries a knee to the head but Jacobs blocks it.
Jacobs wants to break free but Paul has control.

Paul breaks from the clinch.

Jacobs closes the distance and clinches.
Paul tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Jacobs avoids it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Paul lands a good knee to the midsection. Jacobs won't want to take too many of those.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Jacobs is pressed up against the cage. Paul has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Jacobs down to the mat. Jacobs avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ron Paul showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Jacobs takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Paul comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Jacobs blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Ron Paul seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Paul is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Jacobs knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Ron Paul comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Paul winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
