The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leati clinches up with Diaz and pushes him back against the cage.
Leati lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Diaz backwards.

Diaz fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Leati got a little sloppy there for a moment and Diaz has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Leati has managed to get both his arms back between Diaz's legs - danger averted.

Diaz has his foot on Leati's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Leati works his way back into a safe position though.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Diaz pushes a forearm under Leati's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Leati is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
