Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jack Kevorkian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Philip Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jack Kevorkian has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jack Kevorkian!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Philip Brown!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, William Peck and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown shoots in but Kevorkian avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Kevorkian looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Brown gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Kevorkian struggles to land a body shot inside as Brown controls his hands.
Kevorkian goes for a takedown in the clinch but Brown prevents it.
Brown blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Kevorkian is pressed up against the cage. Brown has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Kevorkian down to the mat. Kevorkian avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Kevorkian clobbers Brown with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Brown closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Brown lands in his opponent's guard.

Brown thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Brown seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Brown passes Kevorkian's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Brown thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kevorkian's head.
Still in half guard, Brown seems content to control.
Brown uses his free foot to push down on Kevorkian's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Kevorkian.

Let's hope that Brown has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Kevorkian is bucking up trying to escape but Brown cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Brown shoots in and gets a takedown into Kevorkian's guard.
Brown sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Kevorkian's guard.
Brown winds up and cracks Kevorkian with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Kevorkian throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Brown lands a nice short elbow.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Brown in particular looking to stall.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Philip Brown was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Brown thows a huge punch but Kevorkian dodges it nicely.

Brown is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Kevorkian tries to get to full guard but Brown has control of the leg.

The referee asks Brown politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Brown prefers to stall for the moment though.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Brown with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Kevorkian to score with a decent uppercut.
Jack Kevorkian has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Brown shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Philip Brown is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Brown keeps the fight on the outside.

I would just about give that final round to Philip Brown.
