Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Akira Sono!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shigeki Sano and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sono is defended easily by Muhlach.
Muhlach comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Sono gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Sono tries to pull guard but Muhlach holds him up against the cage and eventually Sono drops back down to his feet.
Sono jumps guard but Muhlach turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Agapito Muhlach has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Akira Sono.
Sono pulls guard.
Sono is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Muhlach defends well.
Sono keeping full guard, as Muhlach tries to pass.
Muhlach trying to control but Sono is working from the bottom.

Muhlach pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Sono is keeping the position for now.
Sono is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Muhlach rolls with it to try and escape but Sono cranks on the arm and Muhlach is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

After winning the bout, Akira Sono thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
