The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mahaffey throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Cox shoots in for a takedown but Mahaffey shows good takedown defense.
Mahaffey keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Cox shoots in looking for a takedown but Mahaffey manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Cox's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Cox has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Mahaffey should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Cox has tightened it up now! Mahaffey should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
