Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Cody Montgomery (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Albert (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Alan Glass and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Montgomery looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Albert is fending him off so far but Montgomery persists. Nope, Albert circles away and we're back to standing.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Albert looking to hit a scissor sweep but Montgomery is one step ahead there.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Montgomery sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Albert's guard.
Albert is breathing heavily.
Montgomery is stalling here. Albert is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Montgomery seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Albert has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Montgomery is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Albert's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Montgomery wants to control but Albert is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Montgomery is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Albert's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Albert's back!

Albert feints a jab promting Montgomery to slip. Albert then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Montgomery slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Albert drives through and clinches with Montgomery against the cage.
Montgomery is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Albert to keep the fight standing.

Montgomery had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Albert defends it easily.
Albert got a little sloppy there for a moment and Montgomery has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Albert has managed to get both his arms back between Montgomery's legs - danger averted.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Montgomery is on top in guard.
Montgomery is fighting to break Albert's control of his arms but Albert is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Albert really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Montgomery. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
