And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Ravi Singh!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Atkins and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jebut misses with a hook. Singh ducked under it nicely.
Marek Jebut seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jebut throws a lazy uppercut
and Singh makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Jebut throws a jab but it's blocked by Singh.
Singh punishes Jebut's body with a nice straight punch.
A looping hook to the body misses from Singh. Jebut does a little dance to reset his feet.
Jebut slips a straight right by Singh.
Singh moves out of range of the strikes.
Singh slips a straight right by Jebut.
Singh fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jebut manages to avoid it.
Jebut throws a hook to the side of Singh's head but Singh sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Jebut doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Singh misses with a straight right.

Jebut scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Singh dodges the ground and pound from Jebut.
Singh is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Jebut throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Singh works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
Singh is positioning himself well to prevent Jebut advancing to mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jebut wants to control but Singh is keeping him busy.

Jebut tries to free his leg and advance position but Singh is retaining full guard.

Jebut wants to control from the top but Singh keeps moving.
Jebut has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Singh is trying to control the position but Jebut postures up.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Singh moves out of range of the strikes.
Ravi Singh is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Singh scores with a nice right hand.
Jebut throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Jebut ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Jebut throws a lazy right hand but Singh sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Singh misses with a straight left.
Singh wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Jebut closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Singh did well to prevent Jebut getting side control.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Jebut is trying to control. Singh wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Jebut seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Singh wants to get back to full guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Jebut is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Singh still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Singh has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Marek Jebut will probably get the nod.

Singh uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Jebut.

Singh moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Singh lands a glancing blow to the side of Jebut's head.

Singh throws a body punch but Jebut moves out of range.
Singh looks to score with a jab to the body but Jebut is just out of range.

Singh leaves Jebut with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Jebut keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Singh is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Jebut rather than just go for the knockout.

Jebut takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Singh has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Jebut gets cracked there but stands up to it.


Jebut is rocked!
Ravi Singh seems to be getting the better of the standup.
BAM! Singh delivers a spinning backfist that drops Jebut like a ragdoll! This is all oooooveeeer! He was out before he hit the ground!
