Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jax Saxon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack The Ripper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jax Saxon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jack The Ripper!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Hugh Johnson and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Saxon shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. The Ripper is trying to defend but Saxon finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Saxon is working for a kimura but The Ripper is defending it quite comfortably.

Saxon is sneakily working for an arm triangle but The Ripper sees it coming and defends easily.
The Ripper manages to get to full guard.

Saxon drops back looking for a leg! The Ripper is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and The Ripper manages to kick Saxon off! Saxon jumps back into The Ripper's guard.
Saxon tries to free his leg and advance position but The Ripper is retaining full guard.
Saxon won't allow The Ripper to sweep him here.

The Ripper has an active guard here but Saxon has managed to pass into half guard.
Saxon passes to full mount!

The Ripper tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Saxon goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now The Ripper is on top in guard.

Saxon is looking for a triangle but The Ripper pushes his legs off easily.

Saxon escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. The Ripper gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Saxon is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

The Ripper trying to control the position from guard on top but Saxon is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Saxon is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and The Ripper defends well.
The Ripper wants to control from the top but Saxon keeps moving.

The Ripper is looking to advance position but Saxon has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

The Ripper rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The Ripper is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Saxon is looking for a triangle here but The Ripper uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Jax Saxon will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

The Ripper is stalling here. Saxon is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! The Ripper seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Saxon has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Saxon seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but The Ripper is holding on tight.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Saxon is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. The Ripper doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Saxon.

Saxon is looking to regain half guard here but The Ripper keeps moving and retains side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The Ripper wants to control but Saxon is keeping him busy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jack The Ripper showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!


Saxon closes this distance looking for a takedown but The Ripper circles away.

Saxon is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and The Ripper defends it well.

Saxon has gone for a leg lock! The Ripper slips out almost immediately though and dives into Saxon's guard.
The Ripper is looking to work some ground and pound but Saxon has wrist control.
Saxon keeping moving, preventing The Ripper from controlling successfully.
The Ripper looking to sit in guard and control but Saxon gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

The Ripper is looking for a triangle but Saxon pushes his legs off easily.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Saxon tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Saxon has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Saxon is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but The Ripper is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jack The Ripper comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think The Ripper has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
