And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hotaka Toresei!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Anthony Taglia and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Toresei wants to clinch up but Bostonson keeps it at a distance.
Bostonson tries a head kick but it misses.
Bostonson misses with the combination.
Bostonson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Toresei uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Bostonson.
Toresei is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Bostonson throws a right and a left that both miss.
Toresei shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bostonson as he avoids it easily.
Bostonson circles away from the clinch attempt.
Bostonson misses with a double jab.
Toresei tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Toresei is looking to clinch but Bostonson is avoiding it.
Bostonson throws a right hand that Toresei ducks under and follows up with a left that Toresei also avoids with ease.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Bostonson prevents a body shot from Toresei.
Toresei is trying to maintain a safe position but Bostonson gets an underhook and turns Toresei into the cage.
Toresei tries to score a body lock takedown but Bostonson shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Bostonson lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.

Toresei tries to work over Bostonson's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Toresei goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Bostonson throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Toreseis head.

Toresei is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Bostonson is keeping busy.
Toresei should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Bostonson gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Toresei.

Brett Bostonson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hotaka Toresei.
Toresei doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Bostonson gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
A nice right hand lands inside from Bostonson.
Bostonson comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Toresei takes an elbow to the temple.
Toresei goes for a takedown in the clinch but Bostonson prevents it.

Toresei seems to have recovered his senses.

Bostonson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Toresei wants to break free but Bostonson has control.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Toresei.
Bostonson pushes Toresei back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Bostonson is pressed up against the cage. Toresei has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Bostonson down to the mat. Bostonson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Brett Bostonson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Bostonson fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Toresei square on the jaw! Damn, Toresei is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!
