The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bondevik tries to close the distance and clinch up but Haggen swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Bondevik closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Haggen to the mat! Haggen manages to get full guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Bondevik is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Bondevik drops back looking for a leg! Haggen is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Haggen manages to kick Bondevik off! Bondevik jumps back into Haggen's guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Haggen can do anything to dispel that myth.

Bondevik thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Bondevik wants to pass the guard but Haggen is keeping the position.
Haggen looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bondevik is one step ahead there.
Haggen controls Bondevik momentarily but Bondevik frees himself.
Haggen is wriggling around but Bondevik manages to pass to half guard.

Bondevik is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Haggen is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Haggen flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Bondevik anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Haggen and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Bondevik slips an arm under Haggen chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Bondevik has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Bondevik is squeezing on Haggen like an anaconda would it's prey. Haggen fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
