PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Liebning (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ty Coon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Liebning might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Perceptionists - Let's move . Ty Coon will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ty Coon!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Eliza Hachem and Skip Squint.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Liebning pushes Coon up against the cage in a clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Coon's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Liebning tries to throw a body punch but Coon avoids it by throwing Liebning back against the cage.
Liebning tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Coon smiles and moves away.
Coon tries to close the distance and clinch up but Liebning swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Liebning closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Liebning lands in his opponent's guard.
Coon is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Liebning accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Liebning throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Coon works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Coon bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Liebning's guard.
Liebning might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Liebning is looking for a triangle but Coon pushes his legs off easily.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Ty Coon hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Liebning closes the distance and clinches up with Coon, looking for a takedown. Liebning pushes Coon against the cage but Coon circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Coon throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Liebning's waist but Liebning gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Coon off to one side.

Coon closes this distance looking for a takedown but Liebning circles away.
