Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Arkadiusz Wilk!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Chaz Elliott!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Colin Fotheringham and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Elliott throws a poor cross that misses
and Wilk counters with a series of strikes. Elliott will be more careful next time no doubt.
Elliott throws a leg kick which misses Wilk's front leg but catches the back leg as Wilk tries to avoid it.

Elliott shoots in and bounces Wilk off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Elliott wants to stand and escape but instead Wilk has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Elliott pushes Wilk off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Elliott has Wilk up against the cage in a clinch.
Wilk tries to score a body lock takedown but Elliott shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Elliott presses Wilk against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

Elliott manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Wilk trying to control the position from guard on top but Elliott is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wilk tries to stand but Elliott is controlling from the bottom.
Wilk won't allow Elliott to sweep him here.
Elliott wants to get back to his feet but Wilk is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Wilk drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Wilk jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Wilk is breathing heavily.

Elliott has his foot on Wilk's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Wilk works his way back into a safe position though.

Wilk is pushing down on Elliott's leg trying to pass to half guard. Elliott is fighting to maintain full guard but Wilk has managed to sneak the leg through.
Wilk moves into full mount! Elliott won't be happy about that!
Elliott tries to lock up and control but Wilk gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Wilk is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Elliott is surviving well by controlling Wilk's body position as best he can.
Elliott is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Wilk lands a big elbow.

Wilk goes for an armbar but Elliott turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Elliott.
Elliott won't allow Wilk to get back to his feet.

Wilk working for a triangle but Elliott defends it easily.

Wilk looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Elliott is working Wilk over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Elliott wanted to stand there but Wilk had control of the position.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chaz Elliott dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


A telegraphed takedown attempt from Elliott is defended easily by Wilk.
Wilk tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Elliott manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Wilk fails in his attempt to clinch.
Wilk has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Elliott.

Wilk moves into range and clinches up with Elliott.

Elliott closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Wilk has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Elliott breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Wilk tries to clinch up.
Elliott dodges the punch combination from Wilk.

Wilk shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Elliott pushes Wilk off looking to stand but Wilk dives back in and keeps control.
Elliott really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wilk. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Wilk tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

Wilk is looking to take a break and control but Elliott is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Elliott pushes Wilk off but Wilk dives into side control.
Elliott tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.
Elliott keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Wilk is working for a guillotine from mount but Elliott frees his head quite easily.
Wilk unloads with some shots from mount but Elliott bucks and avoids them well.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Elliott can do anything to dispel that myth.

The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Wilk's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

Elliott rolls, trying to escape but Wilk keeps control of the position.

Wilk seems to be going for a rear naked choke. He has an arm under Elliott's chin but Elliott turns very nicely into Wilk's guard. Good BJJ skills being displayed there by Elliott.

Elliott is fighting to break Wilk's control of his arms but Wilk is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Elliott fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Wilk looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Elliott shoots in for a takedown but Wilk shows good takedown defense.
Wilk tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Wilk gets caught flat footed, as Elliott shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Wilk has his foot on Elliott's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Elliott works his way back into a safe position though.
Wilk wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Elliott manages to pass to side control.

A left and a right from Elliott both land. Nice combination.

Wilk is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Elliott to keep the fight standing.

Danga de danga de dang - Elliott scores with a four punch combination!
Wilk closes the distance but Elliott moves to the side

and Elliott counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Wilk's guard now.
Elliott wanted to stand there but Wilk had control of the position.

Elliott gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Elliott throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Elliott lands a jab to the nose.
Wilk tries to score a power double leg takedown but Elliott sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Wilk somewhat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Arkadiusz Wilk. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Elliott throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Elliott fails to land with a series of punches.
Wilk lands a lovely overhand right.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Elliott swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Wilk shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Elliott pinned against the cage. Elliott gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

And that's the end of the fight!
Chaz Elliott comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Elliott has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
