The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mishima tries for a takedown but Shaco circles away easily

and Shaco counters with a single leg into guard. Mishima didn't expect that.
Mishima utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Shaco pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Mishima is keeping the position for now.

Shaco drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Mishima manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Shaco has Mishima in his guard.
Mishima works over Shaco with some ground and pound from guard.
Shaco is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Mishima is controlling him.
Mishima must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Mishima is sitting in close to Shaco's body. Shaco has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Mishima is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Mishima is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Shaco.
