Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Magatsu Taito!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 8 - 2, fighting out of New York, DeSean Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, John Kavanagh and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson misses with an attempted mid kick.
A telegraphed right hand from Jackson misses the target.
Taito takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Jackson moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Taito avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Taito throws a sloppy head kick and Jackson moves out of range easily.
DeSean Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jackson turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Jackson throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Jackson lands with an overhand left.
Taito fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Taito looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Jackson connects with a leg kick. Taito looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Good leg kick by Jackson there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Jackson throws a hook but Taito avoids it easily.
Taito closes the distance and clinches up with Jackson, looking for a takedown. Taito pushes Jackson against the cage but Jackson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Magatsu Taito. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jackson tries to land a body kick
and Taito counters with a straight right hand.
Jackson has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Jackson there as he acknowledges the shot.
Taito misses with a looping right.
Taito fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Jackson on the side of the head.
Jackson throws a looping overhand right but Taito ducks down to avoid it.
Jackson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Taito moves away.
Jackson scores with a leg kick.
Jackson throws a hook to the side of Taito's head but Taito sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Taito takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Taito takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Taito avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Taito throws a nice inside leg kick.
Jackson digs a good body shot into Taito's ribs.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Taito lands a nice leg kick that just misses Jackson's sensitive parts.
Taito throws a leg kick but Jackson checks it.
Jackson swings for the body but Taito moves out of range.
Jackson jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Taito lands with a thumping leg kick.
Jackson connects with an inside leg kick.

Jackson missing with a left hand there. Taito was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Jackson connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Taito cracks Jackson with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Taito shoots in and drives through. Jackson sprawls well.
Taito fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Jackson has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

and Taito counters with a nice double leg into side control. Jackson won't be happy with that.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Jackson tries to get back to half guard but can't.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The ground and pound from Taito seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Taito is trying to get an arm triangle but Jackson is defending well.

Taito tries for a kimura but Jackson is defending well.
Jackson struggling a bit here.
Jackson tries to improve position but can't.
Jackson is trying to work for a sweep but Taito has mounted him!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jackson blocking the ground and pound.
Jackson tries to hold on but Taito pushes him away.
Taito is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Jackson can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Jackson wants to control but Taito is having none of it.
Poor strikes thrown by Taito there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Jackson is in all sorts of trouble here.
Taito landing strikes from the mount and Jackson is in trouble!
Taito trying to control but he's not successful this time.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Jackson tries to lock up and control but Taito gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Taito lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Jackson hang on?
Jackson tries to reverse the position but Taito maintains control.
Taito misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Taito is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Jackson is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Jackson flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Taito anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Jackson and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Taito slips an arm under Jackson chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Taito has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Taito is squeezing on Jackson like an anaconda would it's prey. Jackson fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Magatsu Taito!
A relieved looking Magatsu Taito thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
