The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Alan Glass and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mike Smith slips a straight right by JD Smith.
Mike Smith goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
A telegraphed right hand from Mike Smith misses the target.
A swing and a miss from JD Smith.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
JD Smith tries to clinch up but Mike Smith circles away and keeps his distance.
JD Smith misses with a kick to the body.
Mike Smith throws a good cross that connects.
JD Smith looks to score with a jab to the body but Mike Smith is just out of range.
JD Smith blocks a leg kick.

JD Smith is looking to clinch.
JD Smith tries to clinch there but Mike Smith circles away.
Mike Smith misses with a hook. JD Smith ducked under it nicely.

JD Smith ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
JD Smith is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Mike Smith scores with a nice right hand.
Mike Smith shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches JD Smith napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
JD Smith is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Mike Smith has just dragged him back down to the mat.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

JD Smith dodges the ground and pound from Mike Smith.
Mike Smith creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Mike Smith is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down JD Smith's shoulder. That is not cool.
Mike Smith cracks JD Smith with a big right hand but JD Smith just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

JD Smith is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Mike Smith working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
JD Smith is still in real trouble! Can Mike Smith finish him?

Mike Smith looks up at the clock and then as JD Smith takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Mike Smith smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mike Smith in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and JD Smith looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Mike Smith turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!
